What started out as simple yoga portraits; asanas performed by visiting students on the streets of Mysore, India has slowly turned into a project that delves deeper into cultural identity; lending often only the most subtle of focus to the reactions of the general public. How the local Indian populous reacts and interacts with foreigners practicing yoga in its birthplace and their homeland becomes as fascinating as the postures themselves. None of these encounters were pre-planned, and often there was not even any verbal communication leading up to, or during the picture taking process. These are spontaneous acts of curiosity.
