hi love your blog, i just came back from a trip to india, unfortunately i was ill during my time in Mysore but it is a beautiful city. I recommend the Green Hotel, exclusively staffed by the lowest castes it is both progressive and homely. I stayed for 6 weeks in the nearby Nilgiri hills stunning scenery littered with indigenous villages, head for the hills! I met some incredibly inspirational people google "the shola trust" and "just change india" im sure they welcome more visitors x
India is such a drag. It was hip to go out there in the 70s to be enlightened, but now Westerners are just a draining, suckling gaggle of tourists that drop down a minuscule amount of money into their economy for a good time in transcendental mecca. Have fun advancing your ego on the oppressed and impoverished backs of romanticized Indian folk. The doors of perception will surely swing open with force.
First off…I’m sure you’ve never been to India…or traveled very far for the interest of it.
Second..you seem to have put the word enlightenment in my mouth for I don’t believe I stated that?
You are obviously weaving your own issues into this matter.
And although your point does have validity, it says more about you than you care to reveal that you would send this anonymously.
The doors of perception are capable of swinging open anywhere…even on a lame blog posting.
